Beech Class have the same homework every week:

Below are some ideas for optional activities you can try at home to help with this weeks learning.


English
Read as many stories as you can! Children should also be working towards being able to read and write the first 100 high frequency words.

Phonics
In preparation for the 'Phonics Screening' we will be the revising Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 5 graphemes. For more information on phonics click the link below.

Mathematics
This term the children should work on learning their 'Number Bonds' to 20. 

As you come across numbers talk about; How many more would make 10 or 20? What could I add to that to make 10 or 20? What if I add/plus ... more? What if I takeaway/subtract ... more? What is ... more? What is ... less?

Topic
Our topic this half term will be 'Toys'.

At home you could...
  • Talk about toys that different family members played with when they were young. 
  • Make your own toys or games at home.
  • Sort out your toys at home... What are they made from? Which is the oldest?       Where did you get them from?

E-Safety
