Athlete Development and Player Pathways

Did you know....? It is really important for all children of Primary School age to take part in a wide range of sports and physical activity, with little specific focus on one sport over another. Children of this age are thereby able to acquire a range of skills and movement patterns which are needed for future training in any sport. After school, lunch time and community clubs are a great way for children to be active, have fun and develop a range of physical, cognitive and social skills in a safe environment. If your child is interested in a specific sport, check out the website for that sport for details of local clubs and opportunities eg. Football Association (FA), England Cricket Board (ECB), UK Athletics (UKA). If you need help with this, please drop Mrs Spencer a note.
FYI, two of our Y6 children were spotted at a recent Basketball tournament and have been invited to attend County training. Enthusiasm and hard work, hand in hand with natural ability.
